Personal brand photography in London with Seyda Karimpour, founder of ‘Seasons of Work’.

In the “Self Made Spotlight” today is Seyda Karimpour.

Seyda is a qualified coach, marketing co-ordinator and founder of Seasons Of Work (SOW). SOW is a contributor platform and space for multi-passionate women who work for themselves. The SOW Journal is full of educational content and think pieces to do with work, rest, and all that’s in between for female entrepreneurs. Seyda describes it as “A place for you to retreat to for a dose of comfort, to learn more about seasonal living and connect to others who think outside the box.”

Naturally, I’m really interested in what Seyda does for female business owners and entrepreneurs. I feel like our businesses really align and I was super excited to work with her and create her new brand images!

Seyda wanted to update her previous images with some more fun and professional ones that covered a variety of moods from calm, joyful, creative and a few spring vibe nature shots too. Seyda chose Birch, a beautiful manor house in Waltham Cross surrounded by nature, for the shoot location. There were so many great spots to choose from so we tried to use as many as possible. Outside we found a very Bridgerton-esq garden and Seyda even had a bit of a bee moment and she was just as brave as Miss Kate Sharma I must say!

During her 3 hour personal brand photoshoot we talked about Seyda’s community, her cowork days, breakfasts and upcoming retreats. Seyda has such a warm, friendly personality, it was really lovely to work with her. And when I showed Seyda her finished images, I was so touched by what she said to me

"Lisa!!! I LOVE these. What a fantastic job you did! I hope you're chuffed with how they turned out too. The terracotta room ones are my FAVOURITE!"

“They're some of my favourite images I've ever had taken of me”.

Since our shoot, Seyda has been using her new images on her about page, as blog post covers, and across instagram. She’s also used some for features that she’s been in, including promotional content for the Imposters Club podcast and an interview with The Hot Desk. And she says she’s had some lovely comments about the shots!

When I asked Seyda if she had any advice for someone who’s considering having a brand photoshoot, she said

“It's definitely worth putting in the time to figure out the kind of shots you want that will align with your business - either by using Pinterest or Instagram to find imagery that you like and creating a list of the images you need for each platform/website.”

Seyda has recently relaunched her website, with the main focus now being a community based contributor platform. So if any writers would like to contribute a relevant piece to the journal head to her website to find out more: www.seasonsofwork.com

“I did a personal branding shoot with Lisa and absolutely loved how the photos came out! They're some of my favourite images I've ever had taken of me. Lisa is brilliant at making you feel comfortable and the whole process is so smooth and professional. I'm usually quite harsh on myself when I see photos of me but I instantly loved them and I think that a lot of it was down to how comfortable I felt on the day! I'd highly recommend having your brand shoot with Lisa.” - Seyda Karimpour
