One of the most important things to think about when planning your personal brand photoshoot.

As a personal brand photographer, I pride myself on the fact that I offer my clients much more than simply just headshots. I offer my clients support and guidance that results in a great experience as well as brand photos that can help your business grow.

To do this, I have a number of techniques to make sure you’ll get brand photos that you and your business actually needs and can really benefit from. One of those techniques is offering every single one of my clients (no matter what package) a Creative Brief Questionnaire. I use this to get to know you and your business, but it also helps YOU define what you want and need from your images.

On my Creative Brief Questionnaire, there are lots of questions to help ensure we are on the right path to creating your ideal brand photos. But there is one specific question that I want to talk about today.

This is one of the most important things that you can start thinking about ahead of booking your shoot.

People often ask me about what they should wear, where we should shoot, and what props they should bring, but before we can really answer any of those questions, you need to think about this…

What emotions do you want your personal brand images to portray?

Yes, photos can evoke emotions, and that’s exactly what personal brand photography is all about

So start thinking about what you want your ideal audience to feel when they come across you or visit your platforms. And think about what your business stands for, or has to offer. That way we can create images with the right vibe for your brand. And you can then use these images across all of your platforms and marketing materials to attract the right people!

So, what kind of emotions might you want your brand portraits to portray?

Of course, this is going to be unique for every person and every business, but to get your juices flowing, here are a few examples of emotions that some of my previous clients have wanted their brand portraits to communicate… and you can even compare them with the final results!

Art dealer Annalise wanted brand photos with a professional, fun, classy, & approachable feel.

So, now you understand how important it is to know what you want your brand photos to communicate, start thinking about those emotions! And then, get in touch to book your personal brand shoot so we can start working on all my other techniques that will result in brand photos that can help you and your business grow!
