3 Tips to use your brand photos with design for maximum impact.

Using photos as part of a graphic design for your marketing materials can have a much greater visual effect than using graphics or illustrations alone. This is because it adds a sense of realism to your message but it can also be more visually engaging too. And when it comes to social media, photos of human faces tend to get better engagement, probably because of the human element. So don’t forget to include your brand photos in your next piece of content!

When it comes to using a photo in your design though, there are some key things to remember…

1. Don't make the photo too small.

Your photo needs to be clearly visible otherwise it's kind of pointless using one.

2. Think about complimenting colours.

The colours in your photo need to work well alongside the colours in the graphic elements of your design.

Top Tip - Most design software and platforms have an eye dropper tool to help you pick out colours from your photos!

3. Consider alignment carefully.

Look at how you align the photo so that it works with the other elements in the design.

For example, the text could line up with the top and bottom of your photo so it looks balanced.
